Hello everyone!

Headlines this week are that, following the most magnificent harvest displays in church this week - very many thanks once again to everyone involved in creating them - a 'Legacies of Windrush' exhibition will be installed on Friday, open from Saturday 10 Oct. up to and including Sunday 18 Oct., 9.30am-2.30pm Monday to Friday and 2-4pm weekends (if you would be able to staff a Saturday/Sunday slot for an hour 2-3pm or 3-4pm on 11th, 17th or 18th Oct., please could you either sign up on the list at the back of church or email me so I can do that for you? So far only Saturday 10th is covered... Thank you!)

The exhibition presentation evening is on Saturday 10th at 7.30pm. Everyone is welcome. The exhibition organiser, Dr Carol Brown-Leonardi, Founder and Chair of the Cambridge African Caribbean Research Group will join us.

Next, two messages, the first from John Cole: We are sharing Holy Communion this Saturday at Fairhaven residential home. Everyone is welcome to join us at 10am. We will sing some hymns and aim to be finished by 11am.

And from Sue Davies, who has taken up this year's 'Talents Challenge' (decide how much time/money/creative energy you'd like to 'invest' in doing something to raise money for church funds, and see what harvest it brings in...):

If you're curious about your family tree, I can attempt some research in return for a donation to church funds.  I'm not a trained genealogist, and I can't guarantee results - sometimes you just come up against a brick wall in someone's ancestry - so I'm asking people just to donate
what they think the research is worth when I've finished.  To get started, I will need to chat with you about what you already know about your family history.  So if you're interested, please email me on sue.davies@folly.org.uk, including your contact details, and we can arrange a get-together.

And finally... Bible readings for this coming Sunday 11 October will be Matthew 22: 1-14 and Philippians 4: 1-9.
