Worship and Services

We hold services in both modern and 17th Century language: 'BCP' services (Sundays at 8am and Thursdays at 10am) follow the order of service in the Book of Common Prayer (1662); other services are more contemporary in style, and use modern language. Our main Sunday services are either Sung Eucharists or - usually on the third Sunday of the month - All-Age Eucharists or (non-Eucharistic) All-Age Services. Children are, of course, welcome at all our services, and there is a well-stocked children's area they are welcome to dip in and out of at any time.

Holy Communion (also referred to as 'the Eucharist' - a word derived from the Greek for 'thankgiving') is the central act of the Church's life. At Communion, we join together to remember Jesus Christ's life, death and resurrection, and to celebrate God's abiding presence in the world.

Like any activity, coming to church for the first time can be daunting, so please feel welcome to be in touch before you come, or to speak to the 'welcomers' on the door when you arrive if that would help you to feel more at ease.
